The Chicago International Film Festival announced this year’s Industry Days will be held virtually for a global audience, from October 12-18, 2020.
In addition to the seven-day conference, Industry Days Early Bird registrants will be invited to a pre-festival Master Class in Film Producing on August 26 with independent film maverick Ted Hope, former co-head of Amazon Studios and Good Machine, whose films have garnered 12 Oscar nominations.
“This year we’re very excited to be able to expand the reach of Industry Days by taking the conference online,” said Anthony Kaufman, Industry Days Senior Programmer. “ Although the entertainment industry has been hobbled by the pandemic, this is the perfect time to focus on artistic and professional development, which will be in no short supply during the conference. And our impressive lineup of guests will be Zooming in to offer guidance and expertise from all over the world.”
Industry Days is the Chicago International Film Festival’s hub for filmmakers and industry professionals to connect, share ideas, and find inspiration. This year’s Industry Days will offer all of its events virtually, including master classes with top filmmakers, workshops on production, financing, and career sustainability, and networking events. In addition, the festival will host The Pitch, an annual competition for feature films in active development, and intimate Decision-Maker Roundtable meetings.
The Chicago International Film Festival, presented by Cinema/Chicago, takes place October 14-25, 2020.
