The Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center (the Rafael) in San Rafael, California will resume limited operations on Wednesday, October 21 at 7:00pm with a special screening of Trafalgar Releasing’s Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold The Concert. This special event program will be repeated on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold The Concert is full of the magic that Nicks brings to her live performances and is an unforgettable experience you’ll want to see on the big screen.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame icon Stevie Nicks brings her legendary music to the big screen when Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold The Concert comes to select cinemas for two nights only! Recorded over two nights during her sold-out 24 Karat Gold Tour, the film features a set-list of fan favorites and rare gems from Stevie’s multi-platinum selling catalog. The film also highlights Stevie’s intuitive and intimate storytelling abilities, captivating audiences with personal stories behind some of the most famous songs in music history.

“We are so pleased that the Rafael will be reopening with this presentation of 24 Karat Gold as our first event. When the Rafael opened in 1999, it became an integral part of the fabric of the community and nationally recognized as one of the most vital and renowned non-profit independent arthouse exhibitors in the country,” stated Mark Fishkin, Founder/Executive Director of the California Film Institute (CFI). “Re-opening with this exciting concert film celebrating the music of Stevie Nicks is particularly fortuitous. The special relationship we have with Stevie dates back to her appearance on our stage during the Mill Valley Film Festival in 2012.”

Fishkin continued: “Since the Rafael closed in March, our team has been diligently planning how to reopen, while keeping the safety and well-being of our patrons and staff our top priority. We are greatly looking forward to welcoming guests back to the Rafael and sharing the same exceptional programs and profound experiences we’ve provided to the San Rafael community for over 20 years.”

CFI is committed to public safety and following all national, state, and local COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions; staff and guests will be required to wear masks at all times, even while seated in the theater. Seating will be limited to 25% of theater capacity, but not more than 100 individuals. The theater has also adopted CinemaSafe, the uniform health and safety protocols issued by the National Association of Theatre Owners.
