DGA Awards 2021 – Nomandland’s Chloé Zhao + The Truffle Hunters’ Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw Win Top Prizes

Director Chloé Zhao made history at the Directors Guild of America’s 73rd annual DGA Awards virtual ceremony winning the Outstanding Directorial Achievement In Theatrical Feature Film for Nomadland, becoming the second time the award went to a female director after Kathryn Bigelow’s win in 2008 for The Hurt Locker.

Darius Marder won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement Of A First-Time Feature Film Director for Sound of Metal; and Michael Dweck along with Gregory Kershaw won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary for The Truffle Hunters.
