Oscilloscope Laboratories released the official trailer for Stanleyville, the satirical dark comedy starring Susanne Wuest (Goodnight Mommy) and Julian Richings, which premiered at the 2021 Fantasia Film Festival.

Susanne Wuest stars as Maria Barbizan, a dissatisfied woman who abandons her career and her family when she gets the chance to compete in a bizarre and dangerously flawed contest. The prize: a brand new habanero-orange compact SUV.

Also starring in the film are Cara Ricketts, Christian Serritiello, George Tchortov and Adam Brown.

Stanleyville, the feature film debut of Canadian actor-turned-director Maxwell McCabe-Lokos is set to open in theaters in Spring 2022.

Prim and proper Maria Barbizan unceremoniously walks away from her boring job, her inept husband, and her obnoxious daughter. Moments later, she is swept up in a bizarre contest alongside a handful of idiosyncratic characters, all competing for the chance to win true enlightenment… and one slightly used habanero-orange compact sport utility vehicle.
