Ahead of the world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, here is the first look – an official clip, via Deadline, for Brother, the coming-of-age drama film directed by Clement Virgo (Dear Edward), and starring Lamar Johnson, Aaron Pierre, Kiana Madeira, and Marsha Stephanie Blake.

The film is based on David Chariandy’s award-winning 2017 novel of the same name about two Trinidadian-Canadian brothers coming of age in 1990s

Brother is the story of Francis and Michael, sons of Caribbean immigrants maturing into young men amidst Toronto’s pulsing 1990’s hip-hop scene. A mystery unfolds when escalating tensions set off a series of events which changes the course of the brothers’ lives forever.
