Sony Pictures Classics acquired It Ain’t Over, the Yogi Berra documentary directed by Sean Mullin (Amira & Sam) that premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival as part of their Spotlight Documentary program.

An intimate portrait of a misunderstood American icon, It Ain’t Over is an emotional and uplifting documentary about Yogi Berra that takes us beyond the caricatures and “Yogisms,” and into the heart of a sports legend whose unparalleled accomplishments on the baseball diamond were often overshadowed by his off-the-field persona.

In the documentary, granddaughter Lindsay Berra tells his story along with his sons, former Yankee teammates, players he managed, writers, broadcasters, and admirers, plus photos and footage from on and off the diamond. Featured interviews include members of the Berra family, Joe Torre, Derek Jeter, Don Mattingly, Bob Costas, Vin Scully, and Billy Crystal, among others.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the Berra family for entrusting me and my team with Yogi’s legacy. This film has been a true passion project for everyone involved – and we could not have imagined a better home than Sony Pictures Classics,” said Mullin.
