Sony Pictures Classics debuted the official trailer for Living, the British drama set in 1953 London, starring Bill Nighy as a grumpy government office worker diagnosed with terminal cancer, who at the eleventh hour makes a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something wonderful.
Also starring in the film are Aimee Lou Wood, Alex Sharp, Adrian Rawlins, Hubert Burton, Michael Cochrane, Oliver Chris, and Tom Burke.
The film is adapted from the 1952 Japanese film Ikiru directed by Akira Kurosawa, which in turn was inspired by the 1886 Russian novella The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy.
Directed by Oliver Hermanus, Living world premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, and opens in theaters on December 23rd, 2022.
