Netflix has acquired the indie film Fair Play directed by Chloe Domont, and horror/thriller film Run Rabbit Run directed by Daina Reid (Shining Girls, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Outsider) that premiered at Sundance Film Festival.
Fair Play stars Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgeton), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Hail Caesar!) and Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky); and is Domont’s feature film debut after making a name for herself directing shorts and television episodes of Billions, Suits, and Ballers.
In the film, an unexpected promotion at a cutthroat hedge fund pushes a young couple’s relationship to the brink, threatening to unravel far more than their recent engagement.
Run Rabbit Run stars Sarah Snook (Succession, The Beautiful Lie), Lily LaTorre, Damon Herriman (Thai Cave Rescue, The Serpent, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and Greta Scacchi (Darby & Joan, The Shepherd).
In Run Rabbit Run, Sarah Snook plays a fertility doctor who believes firmly in life and death, but after noticing the strange behaviour of her young daughter, must challenge her own values and confront a ghost from her past..
Netflix will release the films in 2023.
