Anatomy Of A Fall (Anatomie D’une Chute) directed by Justine Triet won the Palme d’or award, the top prize of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, becoming the third woman to win the prestigious prize. Jane Campion won in 1993 for The Piano, and Julia Ducournau won in 2001 for Titane.
The French thriller stars Sandra Hüller as a German writer trying to prove her innocence in her French husband’s death.
The Grand Prix along with the CST Award for Technical Artist went to The Zone Of Interest directed by Jonathan Glazer. In the Holocaust drama, Christian Friedel stars as the commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp, Rudolf Höss, and his wife Hedwig (Sandra Hüller), who strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp.

The Higher Technical Commission for Sound and Images
The jury of the CST artist-technician prize awarded the 2023 prize to Johnnie Burn, Sound Designer and Chief Sound Editor on Jonathan Glazer’s film “The Zone of Interest”. His sound design embodies the horror of genocide and questions our humanity.
The 2023 jury of the CST Young technician Prize selected Anne-Sophie Delseries, head set designer on the film “Marguerite’s Theorem”. Thanks to the delicacy of her work, Anne-Sophie Delseries succeeded in giving birth to a third character who is an essential part of the film’s narrative.
