Telling the tragic true story of Sean Bell, a young man who got killed by the NYPD just hours before his wedding, Aftershock is a three-part series made in collaboration with Bell’s fiancée, Nicole P. Bell, who also served as a producer in the film.
On November 25, 2006, Bell and two of his friends were leaving his bachelor party shot when NYPD officers fired a total of 50 rounds. Bell was shot and killed, and his two friends, Trent Benefield and Joseph Guzman, were severely wounded.
Directed by Alesia “Z” Glidewell, the series stars Rayven Ferrell, Bentley Green, Richard T. Jones, and Richard Lawson.
