IFC Midnight will release writer/director Natalie Erika James’ feature debut Relic starring Emily Mortimer, Bella Heathcote, Robyn Nevin that world premiered at Sundance Film Festival. The film, hailed as “a fresh and terrifying twist on the notorious haunted-house tale” will be released on July 10, 2020 in theaters and on demand / digital rental.
German actor Dieter Laser know internationally for starring in the horror film, The Human Centipede, has died aged 78. His death was announced in a post on his Facebook page, saying that the actor had died on February 29.
IFC Midnight will release Egor Abramenko’s directorial debut Sputnik based on his short film The Passenger which played in the 2017 Fantastic Film Festival in Austin. Sputnik was set to have its world premiere in the Midnight Section at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. IFC Midnight will release the film on August 14th, 2020.

Amazon today released the official trailer for Andrew Patterson’s science fiction film The Vast Of Night which premiered at the 2019 Slamdance Film Festival. Set in 1950s New Mexico, the film starring Sierra McCormick, Jake Horowitz, Gail Cronauer, and Bruce Davis, follows two teens investigating a strange, audio frequency.
