The 33rd Heartland International Film Festival (HIFF) taking place October 10-20 in Indianapolis, Indiana, will showcase more than 110 feature films under theme “Expand Your Universe.”
Marco Ricci’s Lucha: A Wrestling Tale kicks off the film lineup for the 13th edition of Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Film Festival taking place August 7-11. GFF will showcase a two-film retrospective of New York City-based Spanish filmmaker Alex Lora’s The Masterpiece and Unicorns as its Centerpiece presentation, and a documentary double feature including the US Premiere of Kelly Moneymaker’s Drum Song: The Rhythm of Life and festival favorite Miwene, directed by Keith Heyward, Jennifer Berglund, Gange Anita Yeti Enomenga, and Obe Beatriz Nenquimo Nihua for Closing Night.
Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF) announced the film lineup of 12 narrative features and 10 documentary features, for its 27th edition, Immersion. The 2024 edition will also present 40 narrative shorts, 24 documentary shorts, 28 animations, and 24 experimental films. Furthermore, 20 films will be shown, online only, as part of kidsfilmfest, now in its 20th year.
American Delivery directed by Carolyn Jones is the winner of the Roxanne T. Mueller Audience Choice Award for Best Film at the 48th Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF48) which wrapped on Saturday, April 13th with the award ceremony. The film interweaves the stories of women and their families across the U.S. as they navigate the challenges of pregnancy, mental health, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
