San Luis Obispo International Film Festival will present the 2011 King Vidor Award to Greg Kinnear

The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival (SLOIFF) announced that the 2011 King Vidor Award for Career Achievement will be presented to actor Greg Kinnear. The 2010 King Vidor Award recipient Alan Arkin will present the award, on Saturday, March 12 at the Fremont Theatre in downtown San Luis Obispo, immediately following the Independent Film Awards which begin at 6pm.

Academy Award® nominee and Emmy award winning actor Greg Kinnear will next appear in IFC and Sony Pictures’ Salvation Boulevard, opposite Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei, and Pierce Brosnan. The film originally premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival as did the film noir, The Convincer, in which Kinnear stars opposite Alan Arkin, Billy Crudup and Lea Thompson. Kinnear is currently in production on The Weinstein Company’s comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It, opposite Sarah Jessica Parker.
