72nd Berlin International Film Festival Awards – Alcarrâs Wins Golden Bear

The Jury of the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival headed by M. Night Shyamalan awarded the Golden Bear for Best Film to Alcarrâs directed by Carla Simon. The film tells the story of the Solé family and their peach orchard in Alcarràs, a small village in Spain’s Catalonia region as they they face eviction and an uncertain future.

The Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize went to The Novelist’s Film (So-seal-go-uiyeong-hwa) by Hong Sangsoo.
