Return to Seoul directed by Davy Chou was named Best Film of 2022 by the Boston Society of Film Critics. In the film, a 25-year-old French woman returns to South Korea, where she was born, for the very first time and decides to look for her biological parents, but her journey takes a surprising turn.

Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin was awarded the honor of Best English Language Film, along with Best Actor for Colin Farrell (who was also lauded for his work in After Yang), Best Supporting Actress for Kerry Condon, and Best Original Screenplay for Martin McDonagh.

Everything Everywhere All At Once received multiple performance awards, with Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh and Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan.

Other top honors included Best Director for Todd Field, TÁR; Best Documentary for All the Beauty and the Bloodshed; and Best New Filmmaker for Charlotte Wells for Aftersun.
