LET’S MEET HALFWAY, CIRCUS OF THE SCARS, BROADWAY and THIS IS NATIONAL WAKE Win at 25th SF IndieFest

San Francisco Independent Film Festival (SF IndieFest) announced the award winners for the 25th anniversary of the festival, which came to an end this Sunday, February 12th.

Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature went to Broadway directed by Christos Massalas, and for Best Documentary Feature went This is National Wake directed by Mirissa Neff. Let’s Meet Halfway directed by Dana Dveris and Max Schmitz won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature and Circus of the Scars directed by Cory Wees won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature.

This year’s festival includes 62 shorts and 35 features from 14 countries. There were 34 films local to the Bay Area. For the 22 in-person events at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco, almost 2,000 in-person tickets were sold across more than 4,000 attendees. The festival also accumulated 2,471 views online (a total of 1 months, 10 days, 19 hours, 20 minutes, and 10 seconds of total time watched), of which, the majority of viewers are from California.

SF IndieFest next presents the 22nd San Francisco Documentary Film Festival, which will run June 1-11, 2023. Following that, the annual San Francisco Green Film Festival and San Francisco Short Film Festival will return October 12-22, 2023.
