The Brutalist leads the Hawaii Film Critics Society Best Of List for 2024 winners with four awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Adrien Brody
Nosferatu, The Substance and Emilia Perez followed with each receiving three awards. Nosferatu won Best Horror Film and Best Director for Robert Eggers; The Substance won Best Sci-Fi Film and Best Actress for Demi Moore and Emilia Perez won Best Foreign Language Film.
Other winners include Hit Man for Best Overlooked Film, Ciara Lacy’s The Queen’s Flowers won Best Hawaiian Film; and Rachel Morrison won Best New Filmmaker along with Best First Film for The Fire Inside.
