Sony Pictures Classics will finally release The Climb directed by Michael Angelo Covino in select theaters nationwide on November 13, 2020.

The film will open in New York at the Malverne Cinema 5, and at the Reading Manville 12 in New Jersey as well as in Boston, Buffalo, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, DeMoines, Detroit, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Hawaii, Tennessee, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, St. Louis, Washington DC; and in Riverside, San Diego, Costa Mesa, Murrieta, Camarillo, California.

In the film, Kyle Marvin stars as Kyle and Michael Angelo Covino as Mike, best friends who share a close bond – until Mike sleeps with Kyle’s fiancée. The Climb is about a tumultuous but enduring relationship between two men across many years of laughter, heartbreak and rage. It is also the story of real-life best friends who turn their profound connection into a rich, humane and frequently uproarious film about the boundaries (or lack thereof) in all close friendships.

“The Climb” starring Kyle Marvin, Michael Angelo Covino, Gayle Rankin, Judith Godréche, George Wendt and Talia Balsam was nominated for the 2020 Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature. It premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival in Un Certain Regard, where it won the Jury Coup de Couer Prize. It also won the Jury Prize at the Deauville Film Festival and showed at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival and the 2020 Sundance Film Festival among others.
