The independent film Open Gate has secured a limited theatrical engagement and will run at the Grand 14 in Conroe, Texas starting April 29th, 2011. The film looks to the rodeo market for its fan base.
Directed by Dan Jackson, Open Gate stars Tyler Hoechlin (Road to Perdition, 7th Heaven, MTV’s Teen Wolf), Agnes Bruckner (The Craigslist Killer, Private Practice) and William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption). Hoechlin plays a rodeo clown/bull fighter in a small East Texas town who learns that bulls are being used to traffic drugs.
A crime drama that takes place in a small East Texas town. Kaleb, a young rodeo bull fighter,struggles with the realities of small town life. His troubles are made worse when he discovers the rodeo he works for is using the bulls to traffic drugs between Texas and Mexico and more people in his little sleepy texas town are involved than he could have imagined.
