Legendary Film Critic and Historian Leonard Maltin and his daughter Jessie Maltin, co-host of the Maltin on Movies Podcast, are set to headline a Keynote Conversation and Screening Program at this year’s HollyShorts Film Festival. KEEP IT SHORT WITH THE MALTINS, A Special Conversation and Screening will take place Sunday, August 11 at 10am at the TCL Chinese 6 Theaters. The special event is open to festival badge holders and festival ticket holders.

The Maltins will discuss the role short subjects played in the history of movies and will reveal examples where audiences were exposed to an era when every movie program included at least one short.

Jessie Maltin runs www.leonardmaltin.com and co-hosts the Maltin on Movies podcast. Together they have interviewed everyone from Al Pacino, Angela Lansbury, Mel Brooks and Norman Lear to Jordan Peele, Bill Hader, Amy Adams and George R.R. Martin. Jessie’s greatest passions are traveling to film and theatre festivals around the world and championing indie movies, where she helps wrangle talent on the red carpets, as well as work in the art and wardrobe departments.

Leonard Maltin is one of the world’s most respected film critics and historians.
