Awkwafina made history at the 2020 Golden Globes on Sunday, becoming the first woman of Asian descent to win Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her performance in “The Farewell.”

Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite” won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture, Foreign Language becoming the first Korean film nominated for and to win a Golden Globe.
