The comedy-drama “The Bet” from writer/director Joan Carr-Wiggin (“If I Were You,” “Happily Ever After”) starring Natasha Little (“The Night Manager,” “Thirteen”), Douglas Hodge (“The Report,” “Black Mirror”), and Colin Salmon (“Limitless,” “Die Another Day”) is being released this week in the U.S. by Gravitas, and by Signature Entertainment in the U.K. on March 16, 2020.
In The Bet, a woman (Natasha Little) makes a bet with her husband (Colin Salmon) that she can get the next man she sees to propose to her. The subject of this experiment is Albert (Douglas Hodge), a lonely man who comes to life when he believes this wonderful woman is in love with him, only to discover that he’s been tricked. The film was shot on location in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
The Bet also stars Linda Kash, Joseph Kell, Kevin Vidal, Katie Boland and Alex McCooeye.
