The European Film Academy announced the six nominees for the European Discovery 2020 – Prix FIPRESCI, an award presented annually as part of the European Film Awards to a director for a first full-length feature film.
The nominated films are Nermin Hamzagić’s Full Moon (Pun mjesec); Gagarine, from writing-directing duo – Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh; Instinct, the 2019 Dutch submission for the Oscar for Best International Film directed by Dutch theater and film actress Halina Reijn; Isaac (Izaokas) from Lithuanian writer-director Jurgis Matulevicius; Jumbo from Belgian director Zoé Wittock; and Sole from Italian writer-director Carlo Sironi.
The European Discovery 2020 – Prix FIPRESCI will presented at the 33rd European Film Awards Ceremony on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
