Chloe Zhao’s Nomadland snagged the top awards for Best Feature along and Gotham Audience Award at the 30th annual Gotham Awards held on Monday night. Ramona Diaz’s A Thousand Cuts and Garrett Bradley’s Time tied for Best Documentary; and Fernanda Valadez’s Identifying Features won for Best International Feature.
In one of the highlights of the evening, Moonlight actor Andre Holland honored the late Chadwick Boseman with a posthumous Actor Tribute. Boseman passed away at the age of 43 in August 2020 following a battle with colon cancer.
In an emotional speech, Boseman’s wife, Taylor Simone Ledward accepted the award virtually, “Thank you for giving Chad these gifts,” she said. “It’s an honor to receive this award on behalf of my husband.”
