The Berlin International Film Festival announced the 2021 International Jury, Encounters Jury, International Short Film Jury and Generation Jury. International juries will decide on the prizes for the competition Berlinale Shorts, Encounters and Generation during the Industry Event (March 1 to 5, 2021). The winners will be announced on March 4 (Berlinale Shorts, Generation) and March 5 (competition, Encounters). The award ceremony of the 71st Berlinale will take place in the presence of the audience at the Summer Special in June.

The directors of six Golden Bear winning films will decide on the prizes in the competition at the 71st Berlinale. The members of the International Jury are: Ildikó Enyedi (Hungary), Nadav Lapid (Israel), Adina Pintilie (Romania), Mohammad Rasoulof (Iran), Gianfranco Rosi (Italy) and Jasmila Žbanić (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The international jury of the Berlinale Shorts consists of three members: the artist Basim Magdy (Egypt), the camerawoman Christine A. Maier (Austria) and the actor Sebastian Urzendowsky (Germany).

A three-person jury will select the winners for the award for Best Film, Best Director and the Special Jury Prize – programmer Florence Almozini (France), artistic director Cecilia Barrionuevo (Argentina), and editor and publisher Diedrich Diederichsen (Germany).

The international jury of the 44th generation consists of three people. Together they will view the 15 films in the cinema and decide on the prizes in the two competitions Kplus and 14plus in March – actress Jella Haase (Germany), director Mees Peijnenburg (Netherlands)as well as director and screenwriter Melanie Waelde (Germany).
