A24, known for their unsettling horror catalog, has released the trailer for Lamb, the twisted folktale film directed by Valdimar Jóhannsson. Lamb, which premiered in Cannes Un Certain Regard, is about a lonely couple who have a strange experience in their barn and now have to live with the stranger results.

Starring Noomi Rapace, Hilmir Snær Guðnason, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, and Ingvar E. Sigurðsson, the film will open in theaters on October 8th, 2021.

In the film, a childless couple in rural Iceland make an alarming discovery one day in their sheep barn. They soon face the consequences of defying the will of nature, in this dark and atmospheric folktale, the striking debut feature from director Valdimar Jóhannsson.
