Cinedigm debuted the official trailer for Coast, the coming of age drama film starring Fatima Ptacek, Mia Frampton, Mia Xitlali, Ciara Bravo, Cristela Alonzo, and Melissa Leo.
Coast tells the tale of Abby Evans, an angsty 16-year-old Mexican-American girl played by actress Fatima Ptacek, who lives in a broken family and has an opportunity to escape her tight-knit farming community but struggles with leaving her friends and family behind.
Directed by Jessica Hester and Derek Schweickart, the film premiered at the 2021 Santa Barbara Film Festival and will be released in theaters and on demand on April 8, 2022.
Desperate to escape the trappings of her small coastal farming town, 16-year-old Abby falls for the lead singer of a touring rock band and must decide whether to leave her family and lifelong friends behind in search of a better life.
The film features performances from Dog Party, Haley & The Crushers, Pancho & The Wizards; music by The Ceremonies & Black Match; with The Ceremonies featured as the fictional band Pinata Jones.
