Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) has added three additional titles to the lineup of genre films showcased at the upcoming 19th edition of the festival in Calgary from April 21 – May 1. Art-house auteur Peter Strickland’s new film Flux Gourmet, the Sundance and SXSW 2022 selected thriller Watcher, and the Australian zombie Midnight Film Wyrmwood: Apocalypse will all be featured in the CUFF 2022 program.
With these new additions, CUFF will be showcasing 40+ feature films & specials events as part of this year’s hybrid festival. The first eight days (April 21-28) take place at Globe Cinema, followed by three days of online viewing (April 29 – May 1), with half the films in the lineup available to stream on-demand.
“We are beyond thrilled to add this bumper crop of fresh gems to the list of cinematic treasures that we have in store for you when CUFF returns to Globe Cinema later this month,” said CUFF Lead Programmer Cameron Macgowan. “In Fabric, Jury Award Winner of Best Narrative at CUFF 2019, remains a film that many CUFF fans cite to me as a truly memorable experience and I cannot wait to see them blown away by Flux Gourmet, the trippy new outing from madman Peter Strickland.”
