New York Film Critics Circle named Tár, the drama film directed by Todd Field as Best Film of 2022, and Cate Blanchett received Best Actress honors for her performance as musician Lydia Tár in the film.
Best Actor honors went to Colin Farrell for his performance in After Yang and The Banshees of Inisherin, which also received Best Screenplay honors for director Martin McDonagh.
Ke Huy Quan won Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Keke Palmer won Best Supporting Actress honors for her performance in Nope.
Other films receiving top honors include Marcel the Shell with Shoes On won for Best Animated Film, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed won for Best Non-Fiction Film, EO won for Best International Film and Aftersun won for Best First Film for Charlotte Wells.
