Nardeep Khurmi’s Land of Gold unveiled the official trailer ahead of its upcoming release in theaters on May 5 before premiering May 15 on HBO Max.

Khurmi wrote, directed and stars in the independent film as a first-generation Punjabi truck driver who discovers a young Mexican-American girl inside his trailer, and his life takes a drastic turn as he seeks to reunite her with her family.

Also starring in the film are Caroline Valencia, Pallavi Sastry, Riti Sachdeva, and Iqbal Theba.

Land of Gold world premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and was the recipient of the 2021 ATT Untold Stories grand prize and 2021 Fall Screencraft Film Fund.

First-generation Punjabi truck driver Kiran (Nardeep Khurmi) is about to become a father, but his irresponsibility is alienating everyone close to him. When he hears pounding on a shipping container at work and discovers an undocumented girl named Elena (Caroline Valencia) inside, everything changes as he sets out on a cross-country road-trip in search of her family.
