The European Film Academy revealed the 12 feature-length documentary films chosen for the Documentary Film Selection for the European Film Awards 2024.
Eligible for the European Film Awards are European documentaries which, among other criteria, had their first official screening between 1 June 2023 and 31 May 2024 and have a European director.
The documentaries include Averroes & Rosa Parks (At Averroes & Rosa Parks), Bye Bye Tiberias, Dahomey, Direct Action, In Limbo, Marching in the Dark, My Stolen Planet, No Other Land, Pelikan Blue, Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat, The Landscape and the Fury and The Words Women Spoke One Day.
The nominations for Best European Documentary will be announced on November 5, 2024. The members of the European Film Academy will then vote for the winner who will be announced on December 7, 2024 in Lucerne.
