Narrated by Josh Brolin, the documentary Pay Dirt: The Story of Supercross explores the sport of motorsports from the beginning days in 1972, including Michael Goodwin, a man who created the sport and now serving a double-life sentence without the possibility of parole for murdering his ex-business partner.
The documentary combines cinematic camera work and deep archival research with in-depth interviews with everyone who’s had an impact on the sport, including Hall of Fame legends Jeremy McGrath, Bob Hannah, Ricky Johnson, and Ricky Carmichael.
Directed by multi-Emmy winner Paul Taublieb, Pay Dirt: The Story of Supercross release will kick off with a premiere at the Supercross season opener Anaheim One on January 9th, 2024. Monkey Wrench Films will release the film in theaters around the world on January 24th, 2024, and in more than 50 markets including: Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, St. Louis, Vancouver, Toronto and cities across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, among others.
