The Norwegian queer coming-of-age drama Drømmer (Dreams (Sex Love)) by Dag Johan Haugerud has won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival. The film, starring Ella Øverbye as Johanne and Selome Emnetu as French teacher, depicts Johanne’s intimate writings about her crush on her female teacher. It is the third part of a trilogy by Haugerud that deals with the complexity of human relationships, sexuality and social norms. The film also won the award for Competition in Prizes of the FIPRESCI Jury and the Guild Film Prize.
