Always by Deming Chen has won the top prize – the DOX:Award at the 2025 CPH:DOX, also known as the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival. In the black and white film, a Chinese boy from a mountain village discovers the power of poetry.

The F:ACT Award went to 2000 Meters to Andriivka by Oscar-winning director Mstyslav Chernov (20 Days in Mariupol) following a small group of soldiers as they fight their way two kilometers through a harsh landscape to liberate a village in ruins.

9-Month Contract by Ketevan Vashagashvili won the Human:Rights Award; Walls – Akinni Inuk by Nina Paninnguaq Skydsbjerg and Sofie Rørdam won the Nordic:DOX Award; Abode of Dawn by Kristina Shtubert won the Next:Wave Award; Ramallah, Palestine, December 2018’ by Juliette Le Monniyer won New:Vision and Constantinopoliad by Sister Sylvester and Nadah El Shazly Won Inter:Active Award.
