Here is the official trailer for Love, Brooklyn, the indie romance drama film starring André Holland, Nicole Beharie, DeWanda Wise, alongside Roy Wood Jr., Cassandra Freeman, and Cadence Reese.

Described as “a modern romance set against the rapidly changing landscape of Brooklyn, New York” Love, Brooklyn, the feature directorial debut of Rachael Abigail Holder, world‑premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. It is slated for a theatrical release across the United States, opening exclusively at New York’s Angelika Film Center on August 29, then nationwide on September 5.

Here is the synopsis:

A writer (André Holland, Moonlight) navigates complicated relationships with his ex, an art gallery owner (Nicole Beharie, The Morning Show), and his current lover, a newly-single mother (DeWanda Wise, She’s Gotta Have It), with the support of his best friend (Roy Wood Jr., The Daily Show).

Director Rachael Abigail Holder, herself a lifelong New Yorker, introducing the film at Sundance, saying “We wanted to show Brooklyn as Brooklyn, and I’m proud that we were able to do that.”

Holland added, “We want to put a love story into the world. We want to put the camera on Black people and just let them exist, and not have a story that spins on trauma or violence or car chases. It’s kind of crazy to say, but maybe in a way that’s a radical thing, just to watch Black folks live and love and try to figure shit out. And I love that.”
