Neon shared the first look teaser trailer for Arco, the striking animated feature film debut from French filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu.
A bold blend of sci-fi and fantasy, it features the voice talents of Oscar Tresanini as the titular time-traveling boy, Margot Ringard Oldra as Iris, Alma Jodorowsky, Swann Arlaud, Vincent Macaigne, Louis Garrel, and the evocative narrator Oxmo Puccino.
The film made its world premiere in a Special Screening at Cannes, then went on to screen in competition at the Locarno Kids section of the Locarno Film Festival. It opens in U.S. theaters on November 14, 2025
Here is the synopsis: A magical and beautifully animated journey through time, Arco is a dazzling adventure about a 10-year-old boy from a peaceful, distant future who accidentally travels back to the year 2075 and discovers a world in peril. As Arco develops a charming and touching friendship with a young girl named Iris, they band together and along with her trusted robot caretaker Mikki, set out on a quest to get Arco home, while the two children may also be the only ones who can save our planet. A wondrous odyssey filled with hope and optimism for our future, Arco is an enchanting fable from breakout filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu, produced by Remembers’ Bienvenu and Felix de Givry, and mountainA’s Natalie Portman and Sophie Mas.
Bienvenu has described the film with optimism, saying, “A big hug, a beautiful story to give us a renewed spirit, a breath of fresh air [because] more than ever, I think that we need hope and tenderness.”
