No! YOU’RE WRONG, or: Spooky Action at a Distance is a daring new film from Crispin Hellion Glover who writes, produces, edits, directs, and stars in it alongside his father, Bruce Glover.
Also starring in the film are Małgosia Bela, Caitin Stickels, Mika Mae Jones, Kristina Coolish, and Kansas Bowling. This project marks Glover’s first time using 35mm film stock, a departure from his earlier works filmed on 16mm.
The film will officially premiere at the Museum of Modern Art on October 2, 2025. Following that, it enters one-week-only theatrical engagement at IFC Center from Friday, October 10 through Thursday, October 16, 2025. Screenings include special events with Crispin Hellion Glover in person, offering a live Big Slide Show, Q&A, and book signing. Later, the film gets its West Coast premiere October 18, 2025, at the Aero Theatre with similar events.
No! YOU’RE WRONG, or: Spooky Action at a Distance was shot primarily on sets built in the former horse stables on Glover’s Czech property and combines material filmed over years. It is an 85-minute work starring Crispin Hellion Glover and Bruce Glover that was begun in 2013, wrapped its main production years later, and completed additional segments over subsequent years. It is described as a strange, theatrical film that blends a live show (the Big Slide Show) with cinematic presentation, exploring perception, reality, and the absurd.
Given the film’s experimental and unconventional structure, it has been described as a work that will appeal to fans of avant-garde and boundary-pushing cinema.
