Jordan has selected All That’s Left of You (اللي باقي منك) by Cherien Dabis as the country’s Oscars entry in the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards.
The film is a multi-generational epic tracing the history of a Palestinian family from the displacement of their citrus orchards in 1948 to the present moment. It begins in the Occupied West Bank in 1988, when a teenager is at a protest, and from that moment, the mother recounts events across decades that shaped their family’s life.
Starring in the movie are Saleh Bakri as Salim, Cherien Dabis (who also plays Hanan), Adam Bakri, Mohammad Bakri, Maria Zreik, Muhammad Abed Elrahman, Sanad Alkabareti, and Salah El Din.

All That’s Left of You had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, then screened at the Sydney Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best International Feature, and the San Francisco International Film Festival where it won the Golden Gate Award and Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature.
At Sundance, Cherien Dabis explained her motivations for making the film, saying, “I wanted to make a movie that would honor my father and Palestinians like my father, who became refugees and who lived this experience by telling the story of how Palestinians became refugees. And telling the Palestinian origin story because it’s virtually missing from the mainstream narrative.”
