Here is the synopsis: Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.

Speaking about the film at Busan Film Festival, Guillermo del Toro said, “The story for me is about forgiveness and imperfection. We live in a time where we have polarized everything into completely good or completely bad. And there’s no oxygen for humanity in those two sides.”

“We should we not be imperfect?” he added. “And why should we not forgive each other for not being perfect?”
