Jennifer Lawrence Plunges into Madness in ‘Die My Love’ Trailer

Jennifer Lawrence is a woman engulfed by love and madness in Die My Love. She plays a new mother who develops postpartum depression and plunges into a fevered, unstable emotional world.

Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the film also stars Robert Pattinson as her husband Jackson, with supporting roles from LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, and Nick Nolte.

Die My Love premiered in competition at the 78th Cannes Film Festival and is slated for U.S. release in theaters on November 7, 2025.

Die My Love is a psychological dark comedy-drama based on Ariana Harwicz’s novel.

The story follows Grace (Jennifer Lawrence) and Jackson (Robert Pattinson), a young couple who relocate from New York City to Jackson’s rural childhood home in Montana. As Grace becomes a mother, she begins to slip into isolation and psychological distress. Her deteriorating mental health pushes their marriage into uncharted, unsettling territory.

The film navigates Grace’s descent into mental unravelling, where reality and fantasy bleed together in shock, desire, and dread.

In an interview at Cannes, Ramsay pushed back against critics who focused solely on the postpartum angle, saying, “This whole postpartum thing is just bullshit. It’s not about that. It’s about a relationship breaking down, it’s about love breaking down, and sex breaking down after having a baby. And it’s also about a creative block.”
