The heartfelt Filipino family drama Meet, Greet, & Bye opens in US theaters nationwide on Thursday, November 14th.
When a mother’s dying wish is to meet her beloved K-drama idol, her grown children reunite, and rediscover the power of love that never lets go.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, who is known for Hello, Love, Again, the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, her latest film shows us the lengths that we will go for family and touches upon the universal fear of losing a family member.

It follows the Facundo siblings, starring Joshua Garcia, Piolo Pascual, Belle Mariano, and Juan Karlos Labajo as they work together to convince their mom, played by Maricel Soriano, to restart treatment for her returning cancer.
When Baby, a mother of four, survives cancer, she credits her favorite Korean dramas — and her beloved K-drama idol — for helping her heal. But when her cancer returns, Baby decides to skip treatment and simply live her remaining days in joy. Her only wish? To meet the actor who once gave her hope.
Her grown children — each dealing with their own lives, disappointments, and distances — come together on one condition: if they can help her meet her idol, she’ll agree to start chemotherapy again. What begins as a near-impossible mission turns into something far more meaningful: a rediscovery of family, forgiveness, and what it really means to show up for one another.
Piolo Pascual, at the film’s media conference, spoke about the film’s relatability, “It was really hard to do because, I don’t want to say personally, but it hits close to home, especially for Filipino families,” he said. “It’s something we have to face inevitably, no matter who we lose, as long as they are a part of the family.”
