‘Bunny’ Stars Mo Stark and Ben Jacobson in a Chaotic NYC-set Comedy |Trailer

Partially shot in leading star Mo Stark’s East Village Apartment, Bunny follows a group of apartment neighbors working together to hide a dead body.

Played by Mo Stark, Bunny, a streetwise hustler, goes through a series of unfortunate events that require the help of his best friend Dino, played by Ben Jacobson, and a group of neighbors to survive the day without the clock running out.  The film reminds us of the authentic charm that comes with New York City and its diversity.

Starring alongside the duo include Tony Drazan, Liza Colby, Linda Rong Mei Chen, Genevieve Hudson-Price, Eleonore Hendricks, Kia Warren, Ajay Naidu, Liz Caribel, Richard Price, Eric Roth, Ben Groh, Michael Abbott Jr., Noa Fisher, Jaeden Gomez, Yaz Perea, and Henry Czerny.

Directed by the film’s star Jacobson and cowritten by both Stark and Jacobson, the comedy premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival and 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. Bunny will be released in select theaters and on VOD platforms on November 14.

When Bunny is working a quick job, everything goes sideways fast. Thrown into a fight for his life, he turns to his best friend Dino for help. What follows is one wild, sweltering summer day and night in their East Village tenement, as the two scheme with a crew of eccentric neighbors to cover up a dead body. With the NYPD circling, chaos reigns as the clock ticks and the heat rises. Bunny’s only goal is simple: survive the night without getting caught or killed.

In a review for Deadline, Pete Hammond said, “Bunny has a talented leading man in Stark, whose hapless expressions and preoccupation with staying alive and skirting the law keep us royally entertained along with the rest of this rag-tag ensemble.”
