
Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez will be honored at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women In Entertainment Gala in Los Angeles.
Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow will receive the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, which “recognizes trailblazers and philanthropists in entertainment and media” and was established in honor of Sherry Lansing, the first woman to head a Hollywood studio.
Past recipients of this honor include Nicole Kidman, Adele, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, Barbra Streisand and Viola Davis.
“Throughout her remarkable career, Gwyneth Paltrow has redefined what it means to be a multi-hyphenate talent. From her unforgettable on-screen performances to her pioneering work as a founder and entrepreneur, she has built a legacy grounded in creativity, innovation, and impact,” said THR editor-in-chief Maer Roshan in a statement. “Gwyneth empowers women to think bigger and bolder – taking control of their voices, ideas, and careers. We are thrilled to celebrate her as this year’s Sherry Lansing Leadership Award honoree.”

I am so proud to recognize her with the award that bears my name,” said Sherry Lansing in a statement.
On screen, she can next be seen starring in A24’s Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie and co-starring Timothée Chalamet, set for release on December 25, 2025.
Actress Kerry Washington, who received the Equity in Entertainment Award in 2023, will present Jennifer Lopez with this year’s Equity in Entertainment Award. The award “recognizes individuals who amplify the voices of underrepresented communities in the entertainment industry”.
Created in 2016, previous honorees include Selena Gomez, Kerry Washington, Issa Rae, Ryan Murphy, Amy Pascal, Nina Jacobson and Selma Blair.
“Jennifer Lopez has broken barriers and redefined what’s possible for women and Latinos in entertainment. As an actress, artist, producer, and entrepreneur, she has built a global platform that celebrates representation, empowers others, and opens doors for the next generation. We’re thrilled to recognize her enduring commitment to promoting access, inclusion, and opportunity with this year’s Equity in Entertainment Award,” said Maer Roshan, the Editor-in-Chief of The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.
Jennifer is currently starring in Kiss of the Spider Woman directed by Bill Condon, costarring Diego Luna and Tonatiuh.
The event will take place on December 3rd, 2025 in at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, coinciding with the release of The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment issue. It highlights the Power 100, a list of the most powerful female executives and talent in entertainment.
