First lady Melania Trump has officially launched a new production company, Muse Films, announcing the venture just ahead of the upcoming release of her documentary.
The announcement came via a post on X (formerly Twitter), featuring a short graphic and the words: “PRESENTING: MUSE FILMS My new production company. MELANIA, the film, exclusively in theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026.”

The first, and for now only, project under Muse Films is the documentary titled MELANIA. The film, reportedly acquired by Amazon MGM Studios for around $40 million, is billed as a behind-the-scenes look at the 20 days leading up to the 2025 inauguration of her husband, Donald Trump. It promises unprecedented access to her life during that transition, covering everything from setting up the First Lady’s office to moving into the White House.
The documentary is being directed by Brett Ratner, marking his return after several years away from filmmaking, and Trump is credited as an executive producer. The launch of Muse Films not only ties into this high-profile documentary but also signals Trump’s apparent ambition to step into entertainment and media production, potentially extending beyond a single project.
Beyond the film itself, the name “Muse Films” appears to be deeply personal: “Muse” was reportedly the Secret Service code name assigned to Melania during Donald Trump’s first presidency.
