See Teaser Trailer for ‘Melania’ Offering Unprecedented Access Inside the First Lady’s World

The first look – teaser trailer dropped today for Melania, the documentary about former First Lady Melania Trump, directed by Brett Ratner.

Melania focuses on the pivotal 20 days leading up to the 2025 U.S. presidential inauguration, offering audiences rare access to both public and private moments in Melania’s life. Through imagery drawn from Mar-a-Lago, Trump Tower, Washington, D.C. and beyond, the documentary presents not only the official, ceremonial events but also moments with her husband, former President Donald J. Trump, and their son Barron. Executive producer and First Lady Melania Trump herself shapes much of what the documentary reveals.

Helmed by Brett Ratner, known for his work on three Rush Hour films and X-Men: The Last Stand, Melania represents the director’s return to a major film project and his first significant release since 2014. Production began in December 2024, shortly after President Trump’s election victory, with Amazon MGM Studios securing exclusive theatrical and streaming rights in a reported $40 million licensing deal. The film is slated for theatrical release in the United States on January 30, 2026, followed by release on Prime Video after its run in theaters.
