On Saturday, January 3, 2026, the 37th Annual Palm Springs International Film Awards kicked off awards season in signature style, bringing together some of the biggest names in film for an evening of celebration in the desert.
At the ceremony Rose Byrne was recognized with the Breakthrough Performance Award for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You; Timothée Chalamet received the Spotlight Award for Marty Supreme; and Amanda Seyfried received the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Actress for The Testament of Ann Lee. Accepting via video, Leonardo DiCaprio received the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Actor for One Battle After Another.
Blue Moon‘s Ethan Hawke was celebrated with the Career Achievement Award; Jay Kelly’s Adam Sandler received the Chairman’s Award, and Miley Cyrus was honored with the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award, for her new song “Dream As One” featured in Avatar: Fire and Ash. Song Sung Blue‘s Kate Hudson and Sinners’ star Michael B. Jordan were each honored with Icon Awards.
Ensemble and creative collaboration were equally celebrated. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein received the Visionary Award, with del Toro joined by Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth. Hamnet earned the Vanguard Award for director Chloé Zhao alongside actors Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, while Sentimental Value was presented with the International Star Award, recognizing cast members Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, and Elle Fanning.
Presenters included Mahershala Ali, Laura Dern, Jane Fonda, Colman Domingo, Paul Feig, Josh Safdie, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor and others.
