Paco León’s ‘Aída y Vuelta’ Trailer Brings the Beloved Spanish Comedy Back to Life

Fans of one of Spain’s most enduring television comedies have reason to celebrate with the release of Aída y Vuelta, the highly anticipated feature-length project directed by Paco León and featuring an ensemble cast that reunites many of the original stars from the beloved series Aída.

León, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Fer Pérez and returns in front of the camera as Luisma alongside Carmen Machi as Aída, has crafted a cinematic experience that blends comedy, nostalgia, and a meta-narrative about television itself.

The film reunites a large portion of the original cast from the hit television series Aída, including Carmen Machi, Paco León, Miren Ibarguren, Mariano Peña, Pepe Viyuela, Eduardo Casanova, Melani Olivares, Canco Rodríguez, Secun de la Rosa, David Castillo, Marisol Ayuso, and others, as they return to the iconic world of Aída but with a twist. Instead of simply continuing the series’ narrative, the story focuses on the filming of a fictional episode of Aída and the interplay between the characters’ on-screen personas and the actors’ off-screen lives and relationships.

Aída y Vuelta is slated to open for release in US cinemas, starting on Friday, February 6th in Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, New York, and select theaters nationwide.

Blending comedy with relatable social themes, Aida y Vuelta connects with audiences through its warm humor, strong female lead, and universal portrayal of family bonds, economic struggle, and the strength found in sticking together.
