‘I Love Boosters’ Teaser – First Look at Boots Riley’s Crime Comedy Starring Keke Palmer, Demi Moore

Neon debuted the first look teaser trailer for I Love Boosters, the crime comedy film from visionary filmmaker Boots Riley.

Set against a Bay Area backdrop, the film stars Keke Palmer as Corvette, the charismatic leader of a stylish band of shoplifters called the Velvet Gang, alongside an all-star cast including Naomi Ackie, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu, Eiza González, LaKeith Stanfield, Will Poulter, Don Cheadle, and Demi Moore.

Directed and written by Sorry to Bother You auteur Boots Riley, I Love Boosters marks his eagerly awaited second feature film. The movie will have its world premiere as the opening night film of the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas. Following its festival debut, it is slated for a U.S. theatrical release on May 22, 2026 via Neon.

Here’s the official synopsis: I Love Boosters follows “a crew of professional shoplifters who take aim at a cutthroat fashion maven.” This ragtag group’s exploits are described as “like community service,” turning theft into a kind of social commentary.

In an X post, Boots Riley wrote, “I Love Boosters sits right in between the Boots Riley genre and some other shit that I don’t know.”
