Here is the full official trailer for Matter of Time, director Jeremy Snead’s imaginative science-fiction drama, following the journey of a 29-year-old video game designer whose life changes when he’s given a mysterious device that can literally stop time.
Snead, known for his work on documentaries and bringing real-world stories to life, makes a compelling narrative leap with this film, which stars Sean Astin, Myles Erlick, Ali Astin, and Jaimie Alexander.
Matter of Time had its world premiere at the 2025 Dallas International Film Festival, and is now scheduled for a U.S. theatrical release on February 27, 2026, via Pinnacle Peak Pictures.

In Matter of Time, Charlie Fleck, a 29-year-old aspiring video game designer, is given the opportunity of a lifetime when his friend, an eccentric toy shop owner named Gibbs, gives him a device that allows him to stop time. Charlie must grapple with the ramifications of this power, navigating ambition, connection, and loss as his life changes in unexpected ways. The film’s blend of speculative technology and personal stakes creates a story that explores how choices matter when the very fabric of time can be bent.
Director Jeremy Snead has shared insights into what drew him to this project and how his background in storytelling informed Matter of Time. Reflecting on his leap from documentaries, Snead explained, “After years of telling real stories through documentaries, stepping into narrative filmmaking with Matter of Time was exhilarating.”
He added, “Working with my long time collaborator Sean Astin and setting the film in the world of game design made it all the more special for me.
