Independent Film Company is teasing horror fans with the release of the teaser trailer for Faces of Death, offering a glimpse at the film “inspired by one of the most infamous cult movies ever made.”
Directed by Daniel Goldhaber and co-written with Isa Mazzei, it stars Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria), Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things), Josie Totah (Saved by the Bell), Jermaine Fowler (The Blackening), Aaron Holliday (Cocaine Bear), and pop artist Charli XCX (The Moment).

The teaser blends nightmarish imagery with creeping dread, setting the tone for a movie that’s part slasher, part psychological thriller, marking an ambitious evolution from the notorious original. Released in 1978, and presented in docu-fiction style, Faces of Death followed a pathologist examining the various gruesome ways that people around the world have died. Many scenes were faked for the film, but most portions include pre-existing video footage of real deaths and their aftermath.
The movie is set to hit theaters nationwide in the United States on April 10, 2026, via Independent Film Company and Shudder.
